Poverty Sucks Fishing is a great fishing charter.
One of the best fishing charters I have ever been on.  My wife and I chartered the Poverty Sucks for a whole day hoping for a chance at a blue marlin.  I am an avid offshore fisherman from Louisiana, but we don't get much chance at a blue marlin around there.  That being said I have been on enough charters to know the difference between a good one and a bad one.  These folks really know what they are doing.   The deck hands on this boat kept 6 lines (plus 2 teaser lines) out at all times and were constantly working the lines.  They worked their butts off keeping grass off the baits and keeping lines from tangling.   I didn't catch a blue marlin but I did land a Sailfish and my wife and I caught 11 keeper Dorado.   We probably caught another 6-8 Dorado that we threw back plus a couple Bonitos.  Thats the most fish I have ever caught when trolling. Great trip with a knowledgeable crew!
We had a fantastic 4-hour trip with Debby and the rest of the crew. Everyone was very knowledgeable and fun to fish with. We had a group of 12 and everything went very smoothly. Great trip!
We booked a 6-hour trip on Deborah’s 53’ Hatteras, with Captain Alex and mates Mundo and his dad Fernando who have worked this boat for years. They worked so hard to see that we caught fish, and we ended up with 2 VERY large mahi and a smaller one as well. Very experienced crew— we had a wonderful time! Top Notch Charter & Top Notch crew!
Great day of fishing, laughs and memories!!!

The owner Debby was fantastic and so was her super experienced captain and crew.

They had us hooked up to a Mahi-Mahi within 10 minutes of leaving port. 12 More followed in just a 4 hour trip. Crew was great with us and the 3 juvenile Mahi we landed were handled well and released back to the beautiful Caribbean sea to catch another day!

Debby graciously also supplies a beautiful bouquet of flowers and stopped the fishing frenzy at the perfect time to allow my fishing mate time to spread his recently lost mothers ashes and those flowers into the Puerto Aventuras waters so she can be with him for eternity.

Poverty sucks, but this crew is the best!
My first deep sea fishing trip was memorable, thanks to this amazing team.  They are well-organized, friendly, and oh so tolerant of beginners! Great fishing charter with friendly staff

Awesome boat, and awesome crew that knew how to put the fish on.
Debbie,fernando,Eduardo, and the captain were amazing today on our trip. We caught about 10 Mahi Mahi, 1 Bonita, and 2 nice sailfish. Debbie provided lunch,waters,sodas, and snacks as well. We have been on several trips but this crew knew how to put the fish in.
